If you haven’t heard of drifting, then you must have been hiding under a rock for the last few years. Drifting can trace it’s roots back to Japan in the 70s, but has really taken off commercially around the world in the last 6 or 7 years.
Essentially, it’s all about getting sideways round corners of a racetrack, really, really fast. Which means tyre smoke….and lots of it!
The D1NZ dritfing series began in 2003 as a small competition, but has grown larger each year, now involving professional drivers and sponsored cars. And boy, do they have something in store for the winner of this very special auction.
You and two of your very lucky friends will be treated to the first ever spectator drifting at Hampton Downs on February 27th 2010. Your experience includes
• Pick up and drop off to the track in a hydraulic low rider for 3 people
• VIP passes for 3 people
• Pit passes for 3 people
• A hot lap for 1 person with NZ number 1 Gaz Whiter
• A hot lap for 1 person with NZ number 2 Jason Sellers
• A hot lap for 1 person with NZ number 3 Mad Mike
• Lunch provided for 3 people
